Since 2016, the Jewish Collaborative of Orange County (JCoOC) has fostered creative, collaborative and compassion-driven grassroots initiatives that enrich the landscape of Jewish and spiritual life in Orange County and across the United States.
We develop and support programs with partner organizations that share our values and purpose. Our "tent" is open to all who wish to participate.

The Jewish Collaborative of OC made the following impact in 2025 through innovative programming designed to meet community needs

SPIRITUALITY AND HEALING

Jewish Bereavement 
70+ people accessed individual and group support while navigating a loss

Jewish Meditation and Spirituality
45+ met weekly online and/or monthly in person for meditation through a Jewish lens

Community Pastoral Support
30+ people seeking guidance were connected with a rabbi or chaplain

Burial and Comfort Society
20+ volunteers served on shomer and taharah teams at local mortuaries

Twelve Steps and Torah
50+ individuals in recovery met weekly to study Torah infused with 12 Step Wisdom

OC Egal Weeknight Online Minyan
50+ individuals nationally found community in our welcoming, lay-led evening services

EDUCATION AND CELEBRATION

Advanced Learning Institute
120+ adult learners participated in online courses with an eclectic array of Jewish scholars, clergy and artists

Shabbat by The Shore
120+ individuals gathered in private homes for a musical Shabbat service and dinner 

Sacred Aging
30+ adults attended panel discussions to help plan for future needs and elder care

COMPASSION IN ACTION

Environmental Justice & Stewardship
The Collaborative worked with several environmental justice organizations on community-wide actions and education 

Camp Sarah Abuja
40+ donors supported a summer camping program for Jewish Nigerian children through the Collaborative’s fiscal sponsorship

Community Initiatives
Help Them Home Campaign with Family Promise; Friendsgiving dinner for Refugee Families with JFCSLBOC; Hunger prevention with South County Crosscultural Council
