At the December 4th program, in addition to New Moon Union's regular talent featuring Kohenet Rachel Kann, virtuosa cellist and Broadway performer, Laura Melnicoff, and video artist Nitzan Saar, Kohenet Ketzirah Lesser - the Cosmic Librarian, will join as special guest. You won't want to miss this wonderful program! 

December 4th Special Guest: Kohenet Ketzirah Lesser (HaMa’agelet) is a sacred artist creating modern amulets, altars, shrines, and ceremony inspired by the rich depth of Jewish history and traditions. She was a member of the first cohort of women to receive ordination as a Kohenet, through the Kohenet Hebrew Priestess Institute. She also received ordination as a Celebrant of Becoming, a spiritual community she co-led in Washington DC from 2002-2012. Currently, she is the spiritual director of OneShul, an online synagogue, where she leads live-stream interactive Shabbat, Rosh Chodesh, High Holiday, and other Jewish holiday services for a global progressive Jewish community. Realize Paradise: New Moon Union is an online immersive multimedia experience in a feel-free environment. An invitation to let yourself have the renewal experience you want from the safety of your own space. Rest or rise up, dance or demure, chant or chill…be YOU.

Program includes guided grounding, poetry, drumming, chanting, DJing, magical music, and multi-sensory art, for a Rosh Hodesh celebration like none other.

Rachel Kann is a poet and ceremonialist. She is certified in Jewish Energy Healing and has apprenticed in shamanic plant medicine as well as trained in dance and drumming healing arts modalities.
Rachel is the 2020 New England Jewish Poetry Festival’s Featured Poet and a WORD: Bruce Geller Memorial Prize recipient for her latest poetry collection, How to Bless the New Moon, from Ben Yehuda Press. She has performed her poetry in venues such as Disney Concert Hall, Royce Hall, The Broad Stage and The San Francisco Palace of Fine Arts. She was an Inquiry Fellow through American Jewish University’s Institute for Jewish Creativity and an Asylum Arts Reciprocity Fellow. 
She leads Realize Paradise Shabbat Soul Journeys and New Moon Union Rosh Chodesh Circles as well as one-on-one and group ceremonies and rituals for folks from a diversity of backgrounds with the intention of facilitating the realization of paradise through the release of trauma and an increase in self-love.

Laura Melnikoff is a classically-trained cellist based in Albany, New York. Recently the cellist in the celebrated revival of Fidder on the Roof in Yiddish, I turned to Zoom during the pandemic to live-stream performances that were viewed globally. As the return to in-person performances is underway, I am glad to be playing for weddings, events, and recitals again. 

Nitzan Saar (NITZU) is a visual artist, video and VFX creator that plays live projection mapped art.
Nitzan creates feminine visual art, combining different techniques to form new worlds and characters, and explore storytelling of multi-dimensional history. NITZU is co-owner of Ni x Ni Studio.
