As 2021 draws to a close, we wanted to share some of JCoOC's achievements during the past year and invite you to consider making an end-of-year gift that will strengthen Jewish connections in 2022. Click here to donate now.
In addition to our ongoing weekly and annual programs, here are a few examples of the meaningful programs and projects we undertook in 2021 that were unique and impactful:
We planned and hosted a pre-Passover Jewish recovery retreat in partnership with 19 Jewish recovery organizations. It was a magical two days of online inspiration and learning for people engaged with Twelve Step Programs across North America.
We launched Circle of Hope and Healing - a once-a-month bereavement support group. Come January, it will expand to meet twice a month, led by a professional grief counselor.
Our 2nd annualBackpacks of Lovecampaign was a great success. We provided City Net (a homeless service provider) with much needed supplies, and our packing day on November 24 included an intergenerational group of 30 volunteers working together for a sacred purpose.
Looking forward, on January 16th, 2022 we are hosting a virtual T"u b'Shevat Seder with a focus on economic justice in partnership with C.L.U.E. Scroll down to learn more and RSVP.
Our 2022 arts initiatives include a week-long Shakespeare and Sacred Textworkshop offered in collaboration with UCI and the New Swan Theater.
Every program, course, and worship experience offered by the Collaborative, with rare exception, is open to all at no charge. It is annual support from individuals like you that makes JCoOC's innovative, diverse and accessible programming possible.
We are grateful for your participation in and support of our programs.
May you and your loved ones enjoy a healthy, happy and peaceful 2022.
Shabbat Shalom,
The Jewish Collaborative Staff and Board of Directors
