Dear Fellow Travelers,
We hope you will be able to join Matt this coming Monday, July 29 at 9:30am PT / 12:30pm ET for a special Advanced Learning Institute presentation featuring highlights from our trip to Great Britian. We are hoping that most of you will be able to attend and share some comments. This will not be a rundown of the entire trip, but rather a look into some of the distinctive components that flowered from Matt's scholarly research and academic interests.
If you are already registered to receive our ALI reminders on Monday mornings, you will get the Zoom link in your inbox about an hour before the program begins.
Additionally, we are including a short survey about the trip that we hope you will complete in the next week. Link to the survey here. Thank you in advance for taking the time to offer your honest feedback.
Wishing you all relief from the heat and Shavua Tov,

Experiencing inexplicable pain and suffering is an aspect of the human condition that people of every faith tradition have wrestled with for millennia. The Book of Job invites us into a conversation about the connection between suffering and punishment by exploring the story of one righteous man confronted with overwhelming misfortune through no fault of his own. Join us as we explore the complex topic of theodicy and pathways for coping in the face of disaster.
