Dear Friends,
The day we have been anticipating for weeks has finally arrived. Tonight, Jews around the world will insert themselves into history, as we prepare to leave the shackles of "Egypt" in search of true freedom for ourselves, the global Jewish family and our brethren of all faiths who are suffering and oppressed by tyrants and other dark forces.
The "elephant" at the seder this year is the stunning rise in antisemitic acts across the globe, but especially here in America. Abigail Pogrebin's article, "Why is This Year Different From All Other Years" captures the frightening reality of current circumstances. Consider sharing at one of your seders.
JewBelong's downloadable Hagaddah is much richer and textured than in years past. We will be using select readings and fun songs at our seders, and I encourage you to take a look.
Thank you for making JCoOC a part of your Jewish life. We hope you have found our detailed list of 2022 Passover resources helpful and will continue to refer to our comprehensive listing of OC seders, services and programs throughout the holiday. If making seder at your own pace is of interest, please consider joining me, Cantor Zev Brooks and Scott Spitzer for this pre-recorded seder that can be used on Friday or Saturday night.
Your support of the Collaborative is what has allowed us to grow in service to the OC Jewish community and nationally for the last six years. We are grateful and excited about some upcoming projects that hold potential for lasting impact.
In order to continue innovating and collaborating, we need you! Please consider becoming a sustaining donorwith a monthly gift that is comfortable for your family.
In addition, JCoOC participates in the Life and Legacy Program through the Jewish Community Foundation of Orange County. Click here to learn how you can show enduring support for the unique mission and vision of JCoOC with a legacy gift included in your will or trust.
The entire Collaborative Team joins me in wishing you a hag kasher v'sameah and Shabbat Shalom,
Rabbi Marcia Tilchin
