Stars of David on Tour
Stars of David on Tour
Looking for fun and meaningful entertainment for an upcoming gala or concert?
Consider booking "Stars of David" - a musical review based on Abigail Pogrebin's 2007 book featuring 60 personal interviews with well-known American icons in the arts, politics, education and business. Her big question to them all: "How did Judaism impact your life and work?"
In 2012, excerpts from the book were used as the basis for original music compositions that coalesced to create a powerful musical review that feels needed and relevant at the present time.
Cantors David Perper, Toby Schwartz, Paul Buch, Marcia Tilchin and Judy Sofer would love to bring this touching performance to your community.

Rabbi Moshe ben Maimon (aka Maimonides or Rambam) is purported to possess (arguably) the greatest rabbinic mind of all time. Rabbi Mike will share details of Rambam's personal history and family as well as his most impactful written works including the Thirteen Articles of Faith, Guide to the Perplexed, and the Mishneh Torah.
During this season of repentance and in preparation for the Yamim Noraim, we will explore Maimonides' opinions about tzedakah, crime and punishment, relationships, repentance and connecting with God.
