An Intergenerational Garden Project at Heritage Pointe

Support families and seniors growing together.

DONATE HERE

Liam Alfi (Hebrew name Avi) is raising money to create multiple vegetable, herb, and drought-tolerant gardens for the residents at Heritage Pointe to enjoy and care for. Liam has been environmentally aware since he was a little boy, caring about clean-up, recycling, and now sustainable farming.

Your generosity will help our gardens bloom now and in years to come.

The Jewish Collaborative of OC is working with Liam to launch the Avi Chaim Garden at Heritage Pointe. Our first project is located in their newest wing, Sage Living, which provides enhanced assisted living to residents. Construction is underway with 144 vertical planting pots and a drip system being installed. Liam’s goal is to plant 18 different herbs in the Avi Chaim Garden.

There are two ways Liam needs our help:

  • Help Liam and the Jewish Collaborative of Orange County raise additional funding to cultivate gardening projects at Heritage Pointe. Plants of all shapes and sizes are beautiful. So too are donations in any amount.
  • Join us at Heritage Pointe on June 4th for a multigenerational planting party from 3:00pm to 4:30pm in partnership with the Jewish Federation of Orange County’s PJ Library and the Jewish Collaborative of Orange County. Children of all ages, parents, and grandparents will help Liam plant herbs and succulents for the residents of Heritage Pointe to enjoy. Register here: https://jewishoc.ticketspice.com/pjow-gan-mishpacha
