REALIZE ROSH HODESH WITH KOHENET RACHEL KANN

The Jewish Collaborative of OC and Miriam's Circle Sisterhood join Kohenet Rachel Kann, founder of Realize Paradise, to offer a Rosh Hodesh experience for all to enjoy. In 2023 we will meet on the Sunday afternoon that precedes or coincides with the new Jewish month. In this creative online space, Rachel nurtures our imaginations and creativity as we dance in the shadows and energies of monthly new moons celebrated according to the Jewish calendar. Participants are encouraged to bring pen and paper or other artistic tools. The moon is the limit!

Rachel Kann is a poet and ceremonialist. She is certified in Jewish Energy Healing and has apprenticed in shamanic plant medicine as well as trained in dance and drumming healing arts modalities.
Rachel is the 2020 New England Jewish Poetry Festival’s Featured Poet and a WORD: Bruce Geller Memorial Prize recipient for her latest poetry collection, How to Bless the New Moon, from Ben Yehuda Press. She has performed her poetry in venues such as Disney Concert Hall, Royce Hall, The Broad Stage and The San Francisco Palace of Fine Arts. She was an Inquiry Fellow through American Jewish University’s Institute for Jewish Creativity and an Asylum Arts Reciprocity Fellow.
She leads Realize Paradise Shabbat Soul Journeys and New Moon Union Rosh Chodesh Circles as well as one-on-one and group ceremonies and rituals for folks from a diversity of backgrounds with the intention of facilitating the realization of paradise through the release of trauma and an increase in self-love.
