AND NOW FOR SOMETHING COMPLETELY DIFFERENT… OC Jewish Cooking Connections
In 2022, the Jewish Collaborative of OC together with the JCC applied for a Weissman Arts Grant through the Jewish Community Foundation of Orange County to produce a series of cooking shows featuring members of the community from throughout the county who would share their love of Judaism and cooking. This week we released the final episode in our first OC Jewish Cooking Connections series.
Cantor Judy Sofer, Cultural Arts Director for Jewish Federation of San Gabriel and Pomona Valleys, shepherded a similar project during the pandemic and brought her expertise to our demonstrations. We had full use of the Stern Family Kitchen at the JCC under the guidance of Chef Liron Regev, director of the Blaze Bernstein School of Culinary Arts. Chef Liron is a helpful co-star with all of our guests and offers great cooking tips along the way. Each 12-15 min segment was thoughtfully edited by Char Williams-Cavitt, Chief Marketing and Program Officer at the JCC.
We hope these videos bring a smile to your face and some deliciousness to your homes during this difficult time. If you would like to participate in the next iteration of OC Jewish Cooking Connections, please reach out to us at joy@jewishcollaborativeoc.org
