Apocryphal writings include books from outside the Hebrew cannon - Jewish compositions that were part of the Greek Septuagint’s version of Scripture, sacred to the ancient Jewish community of Alexandria. This mini course will look into some of the female characters in this body of literature, how they are treated as women by the male authors telling their stories, as well as how they relate to women in the traditional Hebrew Bible.
