Our service will include a special tribute to those whose lives were lost, saved or forever changed 19 years ago on this anniversary of 9/11. Neshama Carlebach is an award-winning singer, songwriter and educator who has performed and taught in cities around the world. A six-time entrant in the Grammy Awards and a winner and four-time nominee in the Independent Music Awards for her most current release, Believe, Neshama has sold over one million records, making her one of today’s best-selling Jewish artists in the world.
She collaborates with musicians of different faiths, and partners with organizations, synagogues, and churches. Neshama has been a cornerstone of major Jewish music festivals across the U.S. and globally, performing in front of thousands at an interfaith peace summit in Mt. Sam Glaser's soulful music has become part of the fabric of Jewish life in communities worldwide. Named one of the top ten Jewish performers in the US by Moment magazine, Glaser is equally comfortable behind a grand piano in intimate solo concerts, leading his eight-piece band or headlining with full orchestra. While he typically performs in synagogues and Jewish Community Centers, he has appeared at such venues as L.A.'s Greek Theater, Gibson Amphitheater, Staples Center and Dodger Stadium as well as on Broadway and at the White House. ALIYAH fills a void in the Jewish music world with spirited new versions of contemporary Jewish classics. Their soaring harmonies and buoyant sound speak to faith communities of all kinds through the universal language of music. Their first CD, Rise Up, was released in May of 2016.
