Jewish Collaborative of Orange County
Dear {{first_name}},
On Thursday night, December 3 and on Tuesday night, December 8, the Jewish Collaborative is partnering with OC United Way to host two educational workshops related to homelessness.
These workshops are taught by highly respected professionals in the field working on solutions to end homelessness in our community.
You must register in order to attend so please use the
PRE-REGISTRATION links provided below.
Zoom links will be sent by United Way to all registrants the day prior to each event.
There is so much about the root causes and extended impacts of homelessness that most of us do not fully understand. This eye-opening workshop debunks common myths about who is living unsheltered, how they are currently being served in each city, the overall cost to the county and win-win opportunities to mitigate the problem in a systemic way. The workshop begins with a short, but comprehensive overview about the evolution of nationwide approaches to solving homelessness in the last three decades.
Want to turn your passion into action? If so, then Advocacy 101 is a perfect complement to Homelessness 101. This workshop will begin with a quick overview of the current state of homelessness in OC, move quickly to sharing proven solutions, and then offer tools that participants can use to advocate for those solutions to be implemented by local government and business leaders who can make the difference.
If you are interested in becoming a Certified "Housing Champion"
(click here to learn more), participating in both workshops is a prerequisite.
Attending Homelessness 101 IS NOT required in order to participate in Advocacy 101!
Thank you for joining the growing movement to #EndHomelessnessOC!
