Dear Friends,
Well, we made it! With another powerful Yom Kippur behind us, we are cleansed and ready to party!
We are commanded to "dwell" (eat, drink, study, play and sleep) in booths for 7 days. If you are looking for some places to celebratez'man simhateinnu(our time of great joy) and fulfill the mitzvah of booth dwelling, please consider joining me at a few different congregations throughout northern Orange County (schedule is below). The walls of these sukkot are open for YOU!
After all that eating and drinking in the sukkah we're about to do, we will really need some exercise! Please register for JCoOC's (Kosher Dill) Pickleball Tournament and Latke Festival - Sunday, December 4 from 12:30pm to 4pm. The event will include great food, fun music, a Hanukkah bizarre and activities for kids. Click here to learn more. Court Sponsorships and Event Underwriting opportunities are available.
Don't yet play Pickleball? No worries. Neither do I, but I am going to learn with a pro at one of the clinics we will be hosting. Enjoy this article - Why is Pickball so Popular? from the September 3rd issue of the New York Times. Proceeds from this event will benefit JCoOC's robust tzedakah and diverse arts programs offered throughout the year.
