The Power of Provocative PR to Combat Antisemitism:A Conversation with JewBelong.org Founder Archie Gottesman
Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at 7:00 PST on Zoom
A unique program that brings together congregations in Orange County to learn how we can utilize the power of PR to combat antisemitism in our own backyard and on a global scale.
Archie Gottesman is the co-founder of JewBelong.org, a groundbreaking organization and web-based platform originally focused on rebranding Judaism to make it more warm, relevant and welcoming for all, no matter where they are on their Jewish journey!
Since May of 2021, JewBelong has also been raising awareness about the evils of antisemitism through their billboard and digital campaigns. The awareness campaigns, which have been in over 27 states (including California), are laser focused on getting out of the Jewish echo chamber and speaking plainly and in memorable sound bites to the 98% of Americans who are not Jewish. Archie resides in New York City.
Ms. Gottesman requests that all questions please be submitted in advance. Please submit your questions in the space provided on the registration site. Zoom link will be sent via email following submission of this form.

This question in 2025 has deep personal and political consequences with roots in ancient Jewish debates. Rabbi Daniel will trace how ideas of Jewish identity have shifted across time - from biblical categories to the modern crises of belonging. We will explore why there has never been one clear answer to the question of Jewish identity and why the debate itself may be essential to Jewish continuity.
