Sabbath Queen Premieres This Week at Laemmle Theatres Across LA
SABBATH QUEEN, directed by Sandi DuBowski, is feature documentary filmed over 21 years. It follows Rabbi Amichai Lau-Lavie's 21-year epic journey from being raised in an Israeli Orthodox family to his evolution as drag-queen/artist/rebel and iconic 21st Century Jewish leader. This evening of song also includes Mostly Kosher, the LA-based acclaimed klezmer-rock band whose original sound echoes with themes of social justice, human dignity, and mutual understanding.
